im gettin married in 4 months but ma dad died six year ago. i dnt have a clue who cud walk me down the aisle. any suggestions

First, congrats on getting married... I hope it's the happiest day of your life.
My dad died nearly a month ago now, and all sorts of things have been going through my head like that, as I'm engaged to be married soon, too. I want my grandfather to walk me down the aisle, and if not him, my mother... There's always a brother, or a best friend.. basically the person who you believe has the right to "give you away". The tradition of the giving away was giving the "posession" so to speak of the girl away to the husband.. So, who do you think has most right to claim "posession" of you now? I put it in inverted commas because it's demeaning to think of being in someone's possession, but I hope you get what I mean. Good luck and congrats again xx
