Subject : How do I react?
I hate it when people say "I'm sorry to hear about you're dad"... I never know what to say. "Thanks, we're coping OK"? But we aren't. "It's OK"? But it's not. I can never look them in the eye when they say it. I know it's nice that they care and all, but it's so hard to know what to say. I'm already fighting God knows how many emotions and I can't get my head around how to answer them. The other thing that bothers me is "how are you doing" because the only answer I can say without being rude is "good thanks" and I'm NOT good. Don't people understand that?? Soz to vent.. just hate it.

I know exactly what you mean, it's horrible.  I always just say everything is fine, we're coping, but we're NOT, it's anything but fine, but i find it hard to show my emotions in front of other people. grr!
