Subject: The events in America

The events in America have upset many of us, the pictures we have seen and stories from survivors and relatives have been sometimes too terrible to take in. Many people have been personally affected by the loss of a friend or family member, while even those of us who had no personal connection with the events in New York have been struggling to come to terms with what’s happened.

Remember, if you want to talk to someone about what’s been going on, you can call our freephone helpline on 0808 808 1677, on Mondays and Wednesdays between 4 – 7p.m. Or you can leave a message on the board about what you think or how you feel about what’s been going on. In this way, you can help others who might be feeling similar to you.

i didn't know anyone directly affected by the terrible events in america but i still can't read a newspaper or watch TV news without feeling deeply upset. i visited the world trade center 3 years ago and still cant really believe that what i've been seeing on tv and in the papers has really happened.

i've not had nightmares for a long time but i did for 5 days after tuesday. what is worse is thinking that if i am feeling so bad, how are the people who witnessed the attack first hand or those who have lost relatives and friends feeling.

Lots of children and young people lost their mums and dads on that dreadful day. My brother teaches students in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and some of them have lost family members who were either working in the twin towers or were members of the emergency crews who first responded to the events and lost their lives trying to help people when the towers collapsed. At any age it's dreadful to lose a parent, even through natural causes, but to come to terms with what happened on that day.....well, I don't know how. Anyway, I'm sure that young people throughout the world could tap into this brilliant site and perhaps it may help them through sharing their feelings with others. I've sent the site address to my brother to pass on to his students.

I think that wars about religion is stupid i think that people should let people believe what they want to believe (as long as its not harming anyone mentally or physicly) and not interfere with other people and try to force their religion on one another.that would proberly never happen cause someone some will be arogant. When the people on the plane called reletives to say goodbye and they knew they were going to die if i think about it, it makes me feel physicly sick.
